FVL Middle School Track Team

Purpose:

The FVL Middle School track team gives student athletes the chance to train and compete with potential future FVL classmates and teammates. Participants receive excellent coaching from a Christian perspective in the various events of track and field. Open to boys and girls 5^th through 8^th grades.

Coaches:

FVL high school track coaches will coach the middle school team. FVL high school track athletes will serve as assistant coaches.

Practices:

Practices will be held the following Saturdays in April and May at FVL:

April 10, 10:00 -12:00

April 17, 10:00-12:00

April 24, 10:00-12:00

May 1, 10:00-12:00

Meets:

At this point, local schools are still working out their spring athletic schedules, and we are not sure that we will be able to compete against other schools. We will keep you updated about potential competitions.

COVID-19 Protocol:

We will follow FVL's COVID safety measures, including wearing face-coverings when indoors, during warm-ups, and when social distancing is not possible.

Equipment and Uniforms:

A uniform top (a T-shirt) and all other equipment, including starting blocks, hurdles, jumping pits, etc. are provided. Participants must provide their own shoes and practice clothing.

Cost:

The cost to participate is $30.
