FVL Middle School Track Team

Purpose:
The FVL Middle School track team gives student athletes the chance to train and compete with potential future FVL classmates and teammates. Participants receive excellent coaching from a Christian perspective in the various events of track and field. Open to boys and girls 5^th through 8^th grades.

Coaches: 
FVL high school track coaches and some federation members will coach the middle school team.  FVL high school track athletes will serve as assistant coaches.

Practices: 
Practices will be held the following Saturdays (*and one Sunday)  in April and May at FVL.

• April 4, 10:00 AM 12:00 PM
• April 11, 10:00 AM 12:00 PM
• April 18, 3:30 PM 5:30 PM
• April 26, 3:30 PM 5:30 PM (Sunday)
• May 2, 10:00 AM 12:00 PM

Meets: 
The FVL Middle Schools Team* will compete against other local middle schools in a yet-to-be determined meet in late April or early May.  Participants will still compete for their own grade school at the FVL Schools track meet on May 6th.

*For this meet, only 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are allowed to compete due to local conference rules.

Equipment and Uniforms:
A uniform top (a T-shirt) and all other equipment, including starting blocks, hurdles, jumping pits, etc. are provided.  Participants must provide their own shoes and practice clothing.

Cost:
The cost to participate is $30 to offset the cost of uniforms and meet fees.
